Article V, Paragraph B, of the CBA between the Board and the Association provides for announcement of the following vacancies:
 

ASSIGNMENT OPPORTUNITY   

Bus Driver – 3.5 to 7.5 hours per day (3.5 guaranteed minimum)

 

Nature of the Position

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Transportation and Operations, the bus driver provides safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district’s curriculum and extracurricular programs.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • CDL License with passenger, air brake, and all MDOT endorsements REQUIRED.

Paid training to meet all CDL licensing requirements is available for qualified applicants.

  • Demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal orders and directions.
  • Must pass State mandated drug and alcohol test.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with children.
  • Such other qualifications as the Superintendent or his/her designee may require.
  • The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district.
  • Employee shall properly implement Board Policy 3122, Policy 4122, and Policy 2260 on non-discrimination and shall comply with Federal and State laws and regulations, particularly Part 1 104 of Section 504 Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (34 CFR) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
